The pool is operated by a single person - Thibaut Rey, a software engineer based in France and currently specialising in Web Development and System Administration. Check out my profile on LinkedIn if you would like to learn more about my experience in tech.
I first got interested in Cardano at the end of 2017. Since then I have continued to participate in the Cardano community, including helping out with the translation of a few sentences of text for the Yoroi wallet. When the Incentivized Testnet began I also created scripts to help myself and other pool operators maintain healthy nodes. I plan to develop a lot more of these in 2020. My main script on GitHub if you want to check that out.
My pool is hosted on a dedicated server located in a data center near Paris. Here are the current specs (subject to change):
Even more reliability: I plan to upgrade my pool setup to provide redundancy. I already have a secondary server which is located in a different data center and am currently in the process of building software to automatically switch between the two in the event of failure.
More transparency over the pool's results: I'm currently aggregating the pool's performance in order to display them on the pool's website.
Tailored accounting: I plan to provide an automatic accounting tool that helps the users of the pool in reporting their taxes related to staking rewards.
Security: The server is protected with firewalls and I use best practice (as of my knowledge) in order to secure its access.
Support: I'm always happy to answer your questions or concerns. Feel free to chat with me directly on the website (little green bubble at the bottom). Or you can hit me up on telegram @thibautrey.
